Your 95 900 is not OBD 2 compliant. Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] (#112) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SWEDECAR) on Tue, 5 Dec 2006 15:26:55 In Reply to: CEL/ODBII question, Chris in OH, Tue, 5 Dec 2006 14:58:07 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Don't let the 16 pin OBD2 connector fool you, the 95 and older Saabs are only OBD1.
To read fault codes properly, you need the the Saab scan tool.
Some codes may be displayed even using an OBD2 reader but you can't fully trust them.
When a car is running good without any hesitations or power loss and the C/E light comes on, it is usually a minor emission problem like a lazy oxygen sensor or minor vacuum leak somewhere or maybe a cam shaft sensor code.
