hey all I need some help again,
97 900 set 93,000 miles
i was driving yesterday with the low gas light on, i expected no problem making it to the gas station to fill up. i was wrong and the car died and i had to drift over to the side of the road. car would crank but not start. thinking it was out of gas i filled it up with 3-4 gallons, still no start. i also tried to push start it using the manual transmission and "popping" the clutch, as well as jump starting, to no avail. so after a wait and a tow I came home and searched the board.
I have listened for the fuel pump and it seems to be running when i turn the key to the on position and after i crank the starter it will continue to run, i also direct wired the pump straight from the battery it i can hear it run, i also hear what sounds like the fuel running near the fpr under the hood while the fuel pump is running. i also checked the power at the fuse box as well as under the rear seat at the "check hole" with a volt meter, all seems good.
so I am thinking now that it is either the fpr or the di cassette.
Does anyone have any additional thoughts of other things i should try?
