Looks like the original muffler. I think the one I received was actually made in France. Make sure if you order from Rockauto that you specify protective packaging for the muffle. Mine came in with a ship to stick stuck to it and the black coating on the tail pipe was scratched up and the inlet had been hit. I fixed the inlet with a muffler expander and jumped on them for the way they ship. They told me they contacted the warehouse and talked to them about the way they ship mufflers. They did offer me a replacement or refund but I just kept it due to it was not functionally hurt and it does go under the car. I have ordered a lot from Rockauto in the past and like their prices and service. The shipping does jump up when you hit multiple warehouses to ship from. I did find one thing interesting on the last order. I found they had an AC/Delco Waterpump kit for $43 and I picked one up to have on the shelf. It is the same part number for my NG900 or wife's 9-5. I hope this helps.
