I had a problem with the amplifier circuit recently - ran with it unplugged for awhile, since leaving it in was causing it to run the compressor, even when the ACC was turned off! I finally got an extra 100 bucks and bought the amp circuit and everything seemed fine.
Then when I drove 375 mile trip this summer, about half way through the ACC went out - then the blinkers stopped responding, as well as the wipers - everything was powering down! I had the pass. footwell full of junk, so after pulling over and idling with the AC on, it just started working 30 mins later - at the time my starter wasn't working so I never stopped the car.
Then one more time after a 180 mile trip here (about the same time in fact) it died again - I turned the key off and back on and it woke up...
So it's already acting strange - now the thing is blowing hot air into the cabin at anything but 58 (and even then sometimes), then sometimes it will blow cool at 64 (when it's 78 out and the outside temp is showing correctly, no problems there) - when I ran the self diagnostic (A/C and off buttons simultaneously pushed) it goes through the test and I'm now getting an error code one - I'm guessing the inside temp sensor is shot, anyone confirm anything???
Dean?
really annoying system with the age bugs.
