Dean, I don't think the BPC hoses can be installed wrong. the length of the hoses (3 of them) pretty much determines where it goes? I left the hoses on the BPC when I took it off. Now, I'm sure the one at the end goes to the bottom of the car due to the length. If I swap the other 2, will it give me this problem? I will triple-check.
Also, the BPC is relatively new (under 6 months old).
I did some more low speed driving... I think its load-related. The reason being the heater-fan came back on this time(with a burnt smell...does that give any hint as to the fan or controller failing?), and with the ACC on high (heater + fan), the turbo appears to go crazy when I accelerate. I can't figure out if gas is cut or if the engine just stalls, but it does so with no noise, shakes, or CELs. All I see is that the turbo gauge is in red each time it does it....
One note: I did take out the big plastic intake pipe off the IAC/throttle body and cleaned the valve/hinge with throttle-body cleaner (I oiled the hinges). This was before the timeing/balance drive failed.
