Hey there,
I just upgraded these very speakers in my 99 Viggen using Polk db 6.75" They're a bit expensive, but I got a good deal on em and they sound great. I would recommend Alpine Type-S for a good balance of price to performance. The installation isn't super easy...saab uses plastic buckets to hold the speaker in place in the door - it took a little massaging with a dremel to coax the speaker into this, but then it was a matter of plugging it in and cranking it up! The guys at fixmysaab.com have a great write up on 9-5 speakers, basically the same procedure. Good luck!
