Thinking About Combining Two Broken 900s- Please Advise

If anyone has done this or would advise for or against it I'm looking for opinions:
Situation: I am currently the owner of a '96 900 turbo coupe 5-speed that was involved in a front end collision that bent some sheet metal and crushed the headlights/grille/radiator. The engine/transmission/suspension are fine.
I've found an inexpensive '95 900 convertible nonturbo automatic with a bad engine (ran the oil low - rod bearing noise it seems) but good body.
And I may have access to a shop with a lift for a weekend.
How feasible is it to combine the running gear from the 900 turbo 5 speed coupe with an automatic nonturbo convertible body. At least the ECU, gauge cluster, sid, pedal box, clutch cable, shifter assembly, will have to be swapped as well.
The other option is to sell the existing car as a parts car and move on.
Thanks in advance.
