Ready to pull trigger on convertible, seeking advice

My local dealer just got in a 2000 9-3SE convertible, 4 cyl. turbo, midnight blue, tan leather, automatic, with 79,000 miles. The price he's come down to is $10,900.
It's a two-owner car that was under warranty until a year ago, had a lot of stuff replaced during that time including "short block assy.", which the sales guy said means it got a new engine (in 6/05 at 56k miles).
Car seemed to run fine, trans. seemed good, no suspension problems. The top failed when we tried to use it but the salesman said that's because it's too cold (21 degrees F). He is going to put it in the garage overnight to warm up the hydraulic fluid and then let us see the top in action tomorrow.
Repairs in last three years incl. IDM recall, oil pres. sensor, drive shaft, mass air flow sensor, fan motor assy., engine mount, hyd. motor and pump assy., engine mount-damper.
The car is for my wife, she wants to keep it for three summers and then sell it. I'm leaning toward telling her to go for it because it seems like it's in good shape mechanically and it looks good inside and out.
Opinions?
Thanks in advance!
