VC gasket postgame report: head bolt VIN & distributor

97 900SE Conv 108k. I had some leakage from my valve cover gasket, the distributor plug and my PCV check valve had split at the stem. Spent yesterday opening the VC and replacing all components of the PCV.
I had planned to do a head bolt replacement. Found I have the old style and they were all still very tight (torque wrench clicked trying to loosen at 60 N-m). Since there is some question about the VIN at which the new style head bolt appeared, I can report the old style on a VIN between 7012310 and 7012335 (don't want to post the exact number). Maybe they appeared earlier in Trollhatten than they did in Finland.
I can also confirm that there was no gasket on the distributor plug. Did the hi-temp silicone fix discussed elsewhere.
Also, I'm pleased to say that it was very clean under the VC, no sludge or coffee grounds. I'm the 3rd owner. I've done M1 0W40 every 5k since 80k miles, I have records from previous owners showing changes every 3 to 7k miles with a mix of synthetic and dino oil.
