Something leaking from right front of engine..

Have a '99 9-3 109K miles. Been a long time since I have posted....

Have been losing coolant for about a month now. Slow leak - SID msg comes on, etc.

I started the car other day, and I saw some fluid (very very small amount) coming out of what appears to be a metal tube that is on the far right front of the engine - this tube seems to be part of a set of tubes that is bolted to the front of the engine block - are these tubes from the water pump to the cylinder head? there appears to be a gasket that is slowly failing - and that is where i am losing coolant.

other posts show that best bet is to replace water pump at same time since this needs to come off to replace the gasket. note that i dont THINK that the leak is coming from the head gasket - if i am identifying engine parts correctly - the head gasket is above this tube and nothing is leaking from that area (knock on wood..)
