is to wash down the inside and outside of the fuel couplers after the fuel filter is removed with brake cleaner spray with a hose on it. You will also need to wash down, inside and out the hollow bolts that go into the fuel filters with the old washers discarded. I killed my NG800 FPR with a fuel filter change and used the wash down method on my wifes 9-5 and I had no problems. A little messy but so is a fuel filter change. Make sure you release the pressure on your tank by opening the cap before a filter change. The other thing I would advise is to let the car set overnight before changing to have everything cold and pressured down. Hope this helps.
