Post Sear Removal Airbag Light

I greatly appreciate all the info I received about replacing my ignition switch. That little project was somewhat successful. I have a 99 9-3.
To replace the switch I removed the passenger's sear, center coonsole, and associated trim. I did not touch the airbag module during the process.
Shortly completing the project and reassembling the red warning triangle and airbag light came on. I went back and retraced everything I did. There are no pinched wires, shorts, or any damge to the harness that I can find. The connected is firmly seated and I have cleaned all the contacts. The heated seat does work on another note. I have checked the fuse which is fine. The battery has been disconnected and left for a long period to no avail. The seat is firmly secured to the vehicle.
The light goes off initally when starting and then comes back on immediately with the red triangle. Once it is on it does not shut off until the ignition is off.
I really have no idea what is causing this and am trying to avoid an expensive dealer visit. If anyone have any suggestions or ideas that might help I would appreciate it.
Thanks!
-Malcolm
