I did a search and found many many different issues and opinions, so I'm going to ask directly and hope to get some specific advice.

My wife was recently driving our 98 900S Turbo Coupe (94,000 miles) on the highway and the serpentine belt failed. She drove it about 3 or 4 miles afterwards to her destination at which point we called AAA for a tow to our indie. (I do not believe the car overheated during this time)

The indie replaced the idler and tension pulleys as necessary and the belt. When they tested it after that work, the realized the harmonic balancer was problematic (warped, bent, or something). So they replaced that, too.

Now, the car had been exhibiting an occasional rough idle tendency before this all happened... it mostly ran fine, but every once in a while it would stutter and recover.

Since we got the car back from the indie yesterday, this stutter has "graduated" into a stutter and occasional stall. I drove it to work today in my 8-mile city-driving commute. It started fine, and drove fine through the stop-and-go traffic, until i was about 1 mile from my office, where it stalled at idle. It took a few cranks to get it to restart, and then it was fine again.

Where to start? First thought was the DIC, which is original, but my search here showed it could potentially be something else. Any advice?
