Misfire - DIC?

Hello all,
I am currently on a trip down to West Virginia from Mass. I am in NYC visiting friends. On the way down to NYC, I noticed misfiring. Especially between 60 and 70mph. It would only usually happen during heavier acceleration. The plugs are new. They have maybe 500 miles on them. Tonight, the CEL came on and the idle was not that great at all, but it was just lower, it was not sporadic. The misfiring began to happen before I replaced the plugs. In the past 2 or 3 months I have seen the idle drop from 1000 to 0 and back at stop lights once in a while. I bought this DIC used with about 50,000 miles on it, and put it in the car at 117k miles. Now the car has 185k miles. I have the original DIC in the trunk. Which was manufactured in March 99. So I have a feeling that it is the original with 117k miles, when I removed it, and put in the one I got off of ebay, it was still running good. So, I will swap them in the morning. But, my main question is, does this sound like a DI Cassette failure? Thanks guys.
