I bought Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position (A/S) in 225/45-17, last November from Firestone on Hwy 1 in Hybla Valley. They had a sale and the price was better than going the Tire Rack route with a third party mounting and balance. Previously, I had Kumho supra summer performance in 215/45 that lost grip over the two years. The Kumhos were terrible in any kind of snow. The Bridgestones were excellent this past winter in N. VA - of course they had new tread, but I was pleasantly surprised how good in the 4-5 inches of snow we had one day in Feb. The only other car we have is a G35 coupe with 19 inch summer performance tires that are worse than the Kumho tires. I'm very happy with the Potenzas in dry, rain, or snow. They have not lost grip on dry pavement as the Kumho did over time. Will see how sticky they are this summer. Also, the 225/45s give a bit more cushion in potholes than the 215s. Good luck.
