Hey folks, it's been a while. Could this be the end? Pardon the dramatics, the I just started the car for the first time since 12/06.
'95 90 SE v6, about 124,000 miles or so
Car's been sitting idle since 12/06 and here's why: Where the upper radiator hose connects to the radiator, the male piece the hose goes on, its plastic, right? Well, that piece has cracked and smaller pieces have broken off (where they went I don't want to know!) resulting in, you got it, a poor seal and leaking fluid.
here's the challenge:
1. can I get just that plastic part without having to buy a whole radiator? They're not too expensive, but at this point $200 is more than the car is worth almost.
2. car's developed a nice engine knock after sitting without starting for five + months, something to worry about? Its a steady rattle, like low oil pressure. Of course I can't get the engine up to temp b/c of the coolant leak, I just had it running enough to get it from the street into the garage.
Thanks guys
Mike
