I have a 94 saab 900s with teh 2.3L engine. When I bought this car about 1 month ago I noticed a kind of hesitation accelerating up hill. Over the past week it has gotton really bad. Now at about 1500-2000 rpms it sputters, kind of like it is hitting a rev-limiter. What could this be? We changed fuel filter on ps rail (not sure if this is the only one); cap, rotor, plugs. It's been at the dealer for a couple days now and they can't find the problem. They told me it threw 2 codes, one mass air meter and one unknown code. The mass air meter we replaced with a 96 which I did not realize until now is different from the 94 so that may be the reason for the code. I have not heard from them today and I would like any info as I would like to have it fixed and pull it out of there...It is my only transportation and I have 2 children to care for!!!
Please if anyone has had similar problem please give me advice
P.S. shop said they tested fuel and compression; all is good.
