I just replaced my Turbo and let me tell you it was a lot of work. Next time I will pay a mechanic to do the work. The write ups aren't as detailed as I hoped they would be so get ready for some surprises. It took me 12 hours to swap out turbos and was a major PITA. If you have the space I recommend pulling your old turbo and rebuilding it your self. That will cost $90 if you get the kit from ebay. But you should also get the updated seal o-rings $25 from swedish dynamics. I ended up pulling the manifold to make swapping the turbo easier but all the write ups say you don't have to do this. Be careful not to bend any of the oil/coolant feed lines and get new copper crush washers. You can find the washers from sites on the internet for 40 cents each as opposed to $3+ each which is what a dealer will charge you for them. You don't have to drain the oil but doing so will make access to the oil line a lot easier. You do have to drain the coolant.
