Sunroof won't open or shut due to sliding sunshade coming off track on one side. This causes metal moonroof piece to bind with the sliding shade.(sunroof pops up no problem) I looked at the side of the shade and one of the metal clips that attaches onto each side of the shade (which slides in the grove) is bent heavily. I tried straightening the metal clip but it digs in and grinds heavily when I try to slide the shade or open moonroof. It looks like this metal slide just clips onto the side of the shade piece.
a) Can this piece be replaced without completely disassembling the sunroof? b) Is there a diagram somewhere that shows how the sunroof comes together.
I have the Hayes manual but it does not show a diagram that shows how the sunroof comes together.
Thanks,
George
