Cleaning IAC: Issues & Questions follow up

To Paul Clifton: why would I want to use WD-40 after using a clearner... WD-40 is really an electronics cleaner and protector and has almost no lubricant in it, (something like only 15% mineral oil... 50% solvent and 35% gasses).
To Aaron in NY: I suspect the IAC because it only happens when the engine is really warm and it isn't cold out. When one increases the RPMs, the throttle plate opens. Before that, the air is running through the IAC. I've replaced the drive belt (needed it anyway) and the air filter (about ready) with no improvement. I only use synthetic oil and change every 5K miles. So doubt it is sludge.
As a reminder on the original message:
I have a 1999 9-3 base turbo with 141K miles. I have a rough idle once the car is really warm, (and it is not cold out), causing a rough idle that leds to the oil light to come on, (so at stop lights I have to rev the engine up a couple hundred RPM). I figure I need to clean the IAC. Went to buy carb cleaner and the guy suggested I get throttle body cleaner instead as it is safe for the electronics. While I was there asked about what I should use to lube the IAC afterwards, (i.e. if there was something better than motor oil). He discouraged using anything as it did not need it, and all it would do is catch dirt & such.
So, should I be using the Throttle Body Cleaner instead, and should I be lubricating the IAC?
