Anybody have any ideas on how to wire a set of power seats into a base model 2000 9-3?
I got a pair of power seats in great condition from a salvage 2002 9-3 SE. Seats have heaters and side airbags just like my stock manual adjust seats.
Diagrams and wiring harnesses for power seats look identical from model year 2000 to 2002 except that on my 2000 there is no power wire on the seat harnesses for the seat motors or for certain wires that need to connect to the TWICE module.
I ran power to the new seats. Driver power seat works fine. Passenger seat does not work yet because it needs to be wired together with the driver seat through the TWICE module (I think).
I have all the relevant wiring diagrams and have identified the wires from the seats that need to be connected to the TWICE. I ran the wires from the seats down to the TWICE, ready to go.
However, the wiring diagrams are not specific enough on which wires I should tap into on the TWICE, assuming this is doable. The passenger seat has a wire that is supposed to link the relay to the TWICE, connecting to a blue/yellow wire. But when I go to the TWICE, there are two blue/yellow wires. Not sure which one, if either, would be the correct connection.
For the driver seat there is one green and one white wire that are supposed to connect to the "I-BUS" according to the wiring diagram. Is the I-BUS link made through the TWICE also as I assume?
I looked at the wiring harness going into the TWICE and there is only one white and one green wire, so they like the possible connection point for the green wire and the white wire that comes from the driver seat harness...
Anyone ever done this before?
Any advice on how I identify the right wires to tap? Or do I have to take it to a shop?
There's not much more work to do. Wires are run and ready to connect if I just knew where to connect to the I-BUS/TWICE.
Thanks
