We bypassed the overheat switch, the clutch engaged, and it blew ice cold within 10 seconds. My HVAC friend thinks the charge is ok, based upon a non-exact test on the low side pressure cap...no, we did not put a gauge on it...and we should.
I understand the anti-frost switch and its purpose, I am not touching that because I don't have the expertise to take apart half the dash. I ask again, how can I tell if the anti-frost switch is faulty??? I would think that I would get intermittant A/C, which I do not have.
