I can relate. I drive a 9000, my dad just bought a 9-5. The 9-5 is great, fun to drive, well appointed (Touring and Premium), etc., but the violence just isn't there. Sure it's smooth, but I like getting kicked in the ass by my turbocharger when I accelerate. The 9-5 is just a little too cushy for me; my 9000 handles better, corners flatter (I do have some mods) and doesn't "float". I like feeling the road, it makes me feel more in control.
That said, I haven't driven a 9-5 Aero, so I can't compare anything to that.
