I had to do this to install the extra light wiring kit on my 2001 9-3. I used a heavy duty fish tape - heavy gauge wire with a hook on the end - like the kind professional electricians have. Starting at the engine side, pushing through the larger of the two grommets (cut the end first), and it leads through to a tough spot way up above the pedals. Took a long time to find it - the wire will not feed straight through very far. The opening is in line with a block of relays or some electronics control box, can't remember exactly which, along with a thick wiring harness. Even with mirror and flashlight, it's nearly impossible to see where it enters through, found it by feeling around for the end of the fish tape. Good luck!
