Hey all. On the good advice from a number of folks here I installed the Genuine Saab steering rack clamp, (torque steer gone and steering more precise), 22mm arb,(handling improved, and 6pt subframe brace, (car feels more buttoned down). Also swapped the BFG Traction T/A's 205/50 16's that were on the Saab with the BFG G-Force KDWS 205/55 16's I put on my leased WRX. Great tires. Why give em' up? I think the 55's have helped the ride and the G-Forces though a bit taller have better grip. I have the stock struts/shocks at 69k miles. I still think the handling could be sharper (flatter?) and while it handles most bumps pretty well, especially with the top up, it still seems to crash and shudder over others, especially with the top DOWN. JoeR and others advised against lowering the car and adding too stiff shocks/struts on a convt and I belive them. The indy I went to seems to think the struts a bit to soft! He suggests the Bilstein tourings. Bouncing the front and rear they seem fine to me but could they be on their way out? Or is this typical. I know they arent the most rigid cars but still a load of fun and I love it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
