I bought a new 01' 93SE. I did have numerous recalls early on, but resulted in minor repairs. The most important recall was the oil sludge factor and DIA Cassette. I pretty much had the entire guts replaced with two service visits (excluding pistons, valves, etc.) The car runs alot better and should be good for an additional 200K. I am on my third AC Compressor ($1050.00 1x). Have replace Transmission mount ($450.00). Tires, rotors, pads replaced 3x's which is normal. I will be replacing the struts and shocks within the month. If a car has numerous repairs within 60K, I would find out what those repairs were, some could be recalls. I'm completely happy with the car and Saab service. The first two years of the new model 93 03' and 04'(GM), I would stay away from if possible, the Saab service manager told me it was a complete mess for repairs. Good Luck.
