My wife owns the same year 9.3 and I've already replaced all 5 cylinders with a salvaged set. Now these too are beginning to leak. (Saab engineers, this was a sorry design). Because I'm an engineer and think (know) that I can design these hydraulics better, I've made contact with a hydraulics remanufacturing shop to see if they will reman these for me and other saab owners out there.
If they can pop-the-top on these cheap saab press-fits, weld a threaded collar to the body and thread the mounting head and finally insert proper seals and wipers for the cylinder shafts, then repairs to leaky hydraulics can be made at anytime and at a reasonable price. This is how most all other hydraulics are engineered, to be reusable after replacing the worn seals and wipers, instead of throw-aways and saab-only replacements at a onerous price... (my two cents).
If your interested in getting better hydraulics that will last longer and be less expensive to repair, contact me and I'll let you know where to get them and how much this might cost after the shop finishes with my set.
