I have the same problem now also. I put in LED brakelight bulbs a couple months ago. This caused the constant brakelight failure message. Even though the current draw for the left and right sides is probably very close to equal the total current draw seems to be too low to avoid getting the message. There are power resistors that can be installed in-line to increase the current flow which will get rid of the message but they run VERY hot and I removed them (not to mention they defeat the power savings of the LED's). Anyway, I got tired of clearing the brakelight message so I put in two brand new bulbs from the same blister pack (should draw just about the same current) but now I still have the brakelight warning message :-(
