I have been scouring the posts on this board and have somewhat successfully recharged the a/c on my '96 900set. The pressure reads fine and is holding around 30psi, the compressor is coming on, but the interior temp only goes from "death valley" hot to "death valley" semi-hot. I can definitely feel the difference, even though subtle, when the compressor is cycling. I should add that the a/c clutch may be on its last legs. It's very whiny!
Suggestions on the BB have ranged from recalibrating the ACC to replacing the heater switch and/or a/c defroster switch to checking the a/c fuses. Are there any other things I should check? I'm more concerned that I will end up causing more harm than good!
Having no a/c will make my road trip from SC to NY a real bear!
Thanks in advance for any help. Maybe a fan will suit my needs better!
