Any gotcha's on inner tie rods R&R?

I've been unable to budge the clamps or adjusters on tie rod, either side, inner or outer. My indie had a go and he couldn't either, being pressed on time he left it. (He zipped off lower control arm in about an hour including waiting for the part to be delivered).
So it's nearly as economical for me to replace the whole works - inner, outer, adjuster, plus I'd have the joy .... I'd get to use my pitman arm puller. No guarantee indy wouldn't end up replacing same.
I cracked the inner bolt to rack - something that budges! Sweet!
Pretty straightforward if I do one side at a time?
I've got a micrometer to get things just as they were (assuming rods match of course). I'll get a cheapo alignment gauge from Harbor Freight - thanks to Deans suggestion. I know it won't work well, the Koni lowering won't help, but it can't hurt much.
My toe is visually out (as in - toe out, not in) so I'm ready to roll.
Haynes torques for NG900 same for 9-3?
(lbft) (I'm interpreting the Brits terminology here)
clamps = 16
outer tie rod to steering arm = 44
inner tie rod to rack = 69
