Strut Replacement Advice

I have a 96 900SET, 101K miles, with 1 leaking front strut. I plan to keep the car about another 4 years. My question is which mounts and struts should I purchase; OEM Saab mounts and Boge inserts (expensive) or KYB/ScanTech mounts and KYB struts (cheap)?
I'm doing the work myself with my son's help. We've never tackled a job this big, but think we can handle it using the instructions found on plantonoff.com. We plan on removing the struts with the ball joints intact and taking the whole assemlby to a real mechanic to replace the mounts and inserts.
I don't think we will change any of the bushings on the control arms or stanchions or the strut boots because they don't look particularly bad. Anything else I should be considering?
I would appreciate any advice or prior experience.
