- Turn the radio on to extend the antenna all the way
- Unscrew the bushing nut on the body of the car
- Pull the broken mast out of the car, it will be a tight fit
- Open the trunk and remove the plastic mounting screws in the trunk that secure the molded carpet trunk lining (on the side of the car with the antenna) and pull the carpet back to expose the antenna mast assembly.
- There are two 10mm bolts (on my '99) that secure the mast to the body. Remove those and the antenna to radio plug and the electrical connector for the motor and your done. Just pull the mast through the body into the trunk and out of the trunk.
I replaced mine with a replacement mast from Eeuroparts.com, and the only alteration to the above is to feed the cord into the housing while turning the radio off, a helper is nice but you can do it by yourself with a couple of tries.
Hope this helps,
Don
