I have a 2001 9-3 Convertible. When I try to put the top down, the fifth bow rises, the tonneau cover comes up, the fifth bow goes down, the top rises about 6 inches above the top of the windshield, and then it stops and I get a "Soft Top Failure" message on the SID.
After I tried the top another 5 times to see if it would clear itself up magically, now when the fifth bow is operating, I hear a clicking coming from the left side of the top right around the pivot point of the top. The fifth bow has no trouble raising or lowering.
Is this low hydraulic fluid, a bad microswitch, or what?? Any help is greatly appreciated.
