How many kids?.. Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] (#81) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Mike Lynch) on Mon, 19 Nov 2007 11:26:28 In Reply to: To buy? Help!, FLGirl, Mon, 19 Nov 2007 08:18:32 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Besides being nosy, if you have more than one kid you'll have a pretty miserable kid in the back seat with the top down as the buffeting is much worse for the rear seat folks, plus the getting in and out of the two-door. If you're heads up with those issues then I know I wanted my mom to have a nice convertible to pick me up with.
For many single mom's $8k is a real stretch and then the possible service bills of a 100k mile car could be crippling. For other folks $8k is cheap compared to $20k for a cheap new car and they're are used to and enjoy nursing old hand me down European cars.
Another consideration for vert ownership is having a garage. A vert without a garage can be a struggle.
Good model year, good price, lotsa' life left at 100k, get it check out by your trusted Saab mechanic.
