Sounds like a loose driveshaft nut to me. I had the same thing - a sort of periodic half braking sound when coasting. It eventually developed into a full on annoying clonk at 110km/h. Apparently it usually happens on the right hand side, but mine was left. You probably freed up a lot of rusty gunk when you jacked the car up. (That's what happened to mine.)

If you drive slowly around in circles at full lock you'll hear it squeak.

The quick fix is to put a big rattle gun on and do the nut up tighter. The real fix is to undo the nut, pop the ball joint, slide the shaft out, clean the splines, grease and put it all back together again. There is massive torque on that nut so you need serious tools.
