9-3 suspension mods & the *Spousal Acceptance Factor*

My '95 900 had 22mm rear sway bar, Eibach springs and Koni shocks. My wife complained that it was "too bouncy" and was a "rough ride". The 900 pre-dated her so she never really made much of an issue of it :)
Unfortunately it is off the road until I can perform a transmission transplant, so my wife and I got a 2002 9-3 SE recently.
I really like the 9-3 but i dislike the large amount of body roll and sloppy steering. My wife has already mentioned that she likes hwo the new car isn't as *jerky*.
I already swapped in the 22mm rear sway bar from the 900 (under the radar) and that helped a lot, next up I might get the steering rack brace and 6-point sub-frame brace from genuinesaab, all of which I don't think will make the car a *rough ride*.
I would like to lower it for aesthetics as well.
What options should I consider?
Eibach springs with OEM shocks?
Viggen springs with OEM shocks?
Maybe my old Konis and Eibachs on the 900 were wearing out and new ones on the 9-3 would perform less harshly?
(let's keep this to car talk, I get enough marital advice from elsewhere ;)
