Clutch Pedal to the Floor

1997 2.3L NT - Took it out tonight and the clutch pedal went to floor. There have been no prior issues with the clutch or transmission. There was a "pop" sound when the clutch pedal went to the floor. Just wondering what your immediate thoughts are, and how to troubleshoot this. It is still cold and snowy in WI and would like to keep the unheated garage repairs to a minimum. Please let us know what you think - Clutch Cable, Master Cyl, or the dreaded Slave?
