about three weeks ago I started my 1999 9-3 and backed out of a drive way. When I put th car in drive to pull away. The front wheels spun on ice. ( maybe till about 3000 RPM. Once the wheels gained traction, and i started driving the SID told me to add coolant. I was on my way home (about 9 miles from home) I drove just started to drive th car home. I was gonna add coolant when I got home. About half way home the ACC stopped blowing warm. The temp gauge at this time was still at the half way point. About a mile =/- the ACC going cold the temp gauge started slowly creeping up. By the time I got home the car was about 3/4 HOT maybe a smidge higher. ( the gauge never reached the red zone) I checked the revissor, and no coolant. I didn't really investigate as it was very cold ( I live in NH) and dark out. As I am only 18 and my mom at the time, was in the hospital(Boston MA) for a pretty sever illness. I parked the car and drove my 900S, cause I had no time with school, work, and commuting to Boston each day i could, to diagnose and repair the car. I did however notice the next day that there was coolant on the lower part/bottom of the engine. About a week and a half ago I started the car to move it into the back of the driveway, and the car started right up, and sounded ok. I didn't have any coolant left so i didn't ad any. The car is still sitting in the driveway. I started it today it stared right up okay. I bought some more coolant today. I worried that I gonna be facing a head gasket. ($$$$) just before Christmas I spend over $3,330 on brembo rotors, pads, calibers, turbo hoses, oil change, tires, ACC controller, trunk latch, window pins, and ball joints/lower control arms. Those of you who have read my many( grammar error filled) post know that I have had many issues with my 9-3 since I bought it about a year and a half ago. My 91 900S just over heated tonight, with no warning, and just shut off and will not start. I researched this too and know the head is likely warped. ( It died on my road, and I pushed it into my driveway.) So I need to fix the 9-3 ASAP, so I can still commute to see my mom, and get to work. Is there any way I can diagnose the problem without paying to bringing it to the shop. The water pump, was suposidily replaced before sale though I have no papers to verify that. My car has about 119K. I just don't think my car has exhibited to H/G failure signs. Not sweet smell of Grey, white smoke. the valve cover gasket, was leaking oil, that the only thing the car needed as of the last service. I also checked to oil, and the oil wasn't frothy foam. Could this just be a ripped hose? I'm not very good at DIY with the 9-3 as im afraid the break it more. Sorry for the post that is all over the place I'm just feeling over-whelmed at the moment. Thankyou to everyone who has helped me in the past with my 9-3 issues. Your input is greatly appreciated!!!
