Ok, so here goes. Last week the car had starting issues and after cycling the fuel pump fuse the car would start and run fine. I get home one evening and the car would not start for love or money. I talked to the guy who usually does my work and said to check the fuel pum relay and pump.
So I pull up the back seat and check the voltage at the fuel pump, don't you know the voltage goes up to a whopping 0.08vdc. Yes folks thats right 0.08 vdc. So I replace the fuel pump relay and there is no change in reading. So I check the voltage at the fuse and it is the same. I put a jumper in the relay holder for the fuel pump and low and behold the pump starts running. Now for the fun part, I crank the engine but the engine does not start. I pulled the jumper, I then checked voltage across pins 85 and 86 on the fuel pump relay to insure the voltage is getting to pull the coil for the relay. Great voltage but still no change in pump voltage and the pump does not run. The car is still in the garage and not wanting to start. Any ideas on what could be my problem? Fuel pump? ECU? something else? Oh BTW the car is a 95 900SE Vert with the V6 engine.
