I want to replace the tattered black trim sticky tape on the B pillar (4 dr)on the side of the front doors (leading edge of back doors and C pillar tape is OK). I see that with the window down the vertical rubber seal can be pushed inward allowing access to the leading edge of the tape. It looks like the bottom rubber strip that sits on the door can be removed, but am not sure how and dont want to break anything. Four years ago, when the dealer did this under warranty, they removed all the window trim, bent it all up, scratched the paint and beat it back into place, they wound up replacing all this stuff and still did not get things lined up right...now dealer quotes 450.00 labor to replace these two $9.00 stickers. I think if I can get the piece loose that rests on the door I can do this. Anyone try this?
