Hi Guys
What you need to do is unplug the Face panel from the radio ,then you will see 7 or 8 tiny screws holding the pc board to the panel
Then remove the pc board
sandwiched between the pc board is a white membrane which has black conductive "DOTS" . The board has black conductive traces where the dots are , When you press the function button it makes the dot touch or shortS out two traces, THAT sends a logic signal to the processor. The best way to clean it is 2 drops of dish soap in a cup of water and a small craft horsehair brush and brush lightly on the dots and traces or use a non abrasive gum or pink eraser lightly in extreme cases . use water to remove the soapy water and use a can of air similar to ones found at walmart to clean keyboards. Any use of chemicals will remove the conductive film on the dots and traces. when together be careful to push the panel back on ,you need to line up the plastic lock tabs equally at all four corners, thanks WasyL
