I've never seen any indication that the rest of it changed in any way.

I believe the book says to replace the nut that holds the ball joint, the tie rod, and the lockwashers on the strut top - but it's been a while since I did it. Also, I didn't remove the control/stanchion arm so there might be more to replace there. I would highly recommend getting a Haynes Manual or a subscription to alldatadiy.com for some guidance.

I think the only tricky part was seperating the tie rod. Loosen the nut completely, then reinstall the nut lightly before breaking the connection with a clothespin type seperator. You want the nut on there to keep anything from flying apart - but there's nothing to hold the tie rod end once you split it free and the nut/stud just spins.

Lok for other split issues when seperating components. You'll also need some compressors to do the springs.
