So after doing some research and letting the car sit a few days, I was going to take it to a chain mechanic for a free battery test. Turns out the car ('96 900SE) now won't start. When I turn the ignition I get a few clicks and a bunch of lights on the dash flicker. I guess I can safely deduce it's a dead battery.
The existing battery is Saab-branded low-maintenance. I've never dealt with a dealer; I bought the car third-hand. Is there a significant difference between an OEM battery and, say, a DieHard that I could buy from a chain?
TIA.
