Start with error code read out -- any Autozone for free. If spark related, then see what the cause is. While the original warranty is expired, for problems that arise after the warranty runs, things that were not properly fixed during the warranty period are still outstanding warranty items that should be brought up to snuff.
Second, if poor workmanship occurred, there is an issue differnt than the new car warranty. Any kind of mechanical work impliedly carries the contractual claim that it will done correctly at the time, done in a "workman like" manner in some state' lingo. The burden is on YOU to prove that the work was not done correctly, not workman like, or perhaps negligently. That usually takes the expert knowledge of you own mechanic.
Facts, facts, facts. Get real facts from you car. There is no sense discussing myirad legal theories unless and until you know what occurred with a reasonable degree of factual certainty. They step back and see what those facts show you. Most places, if shown they messed up, will simply make it good. If not, there is always small claims court.
If it is the DIC, it is nearly impossible to istall in incorrectly. Your grandmother could do it. If it failed after a very few miles, perhaps have the dealer, and yourself, calling up Saab USA asking for gracious mercy. It has been two years though. What occurred BEFORE 11/07? It's those cussed facts again.
