I.C.E. and Malfunctioning Driver Side Brake Light

I pulled a trailer with my NG 900 and it had some shitty lights. After disconnecting the trailer I found that the brake light doesn't work anymore. Its not a bulb, and the SID doesn't dispaly a warning.
U-Haul installed this thing almost 2 years ago, so there isn't a warranty think I can do unfortunately. Its only that one brake light that doesn't work.
Something that could be related is that the OBD2 now does not work. I had a CEL and I had several auto places try and scan the code and their machines would not power up from the OBD2 plug.
Another thing to mention is that when the trailer was hooked up, if i put on a directional with the head lights off then the head lights would blink too. Like a cop car...
I ripped the whole harness out. It didn't solve the problem unfortunately. FYI the harness was just those little wire splicers with blue plastics that cut into your wires. They were wired onto my left side into the brake and blinker wires and lead into a converter of some sort. Really cheap, no fuses, and currently sitting in a box.
Oh, and the CEL went out by itself a long time ago. But I asked them to read anyways and still the same problem.
I can't get my car inspected if the OBD2 doesn't read and a brake light doesn't turn on.
Possibilities:
I.C.E unit
Hidden Fuses
Are I.C.E. units just plug and play or is there some programming to do?
