Window Seal / Noise / Door Adjustment

I have a NG900 and have been experiencing some noise while driving from the area around the driver's window. A quick inspections reveals two things: First, the inside door seal (the part the runs around the door on the body) is torn. Second, my driver's door, when inspected from the rear, appears to stick out by a quarter of a inch or so.
I've tried to take some silicon to glue together the tear on the door seal. It was a messy solution, and I can still hear some noise.
My questions are:
1. How difficult is it to remove the weatherstripping on the body? I've looked up this part
http://www.thesaabsite.com/900new/NG900weatherstripmolding.htm
and I think it is part #4322558 that I need to replace. It is $118. Is this something where I can remove the passenger side version and move it to the driver's side, or will removal destroy the weatherstripping? Likewise, is it something I can get from a junkyard?
2. I've read here about how to adjust the door latch. It makes sense to me that the weatherstipping would compress over time -- but that would not make the door stick out? I don't see any other visible damage to the seals or weatherstips in the general area.
The noise is not bad. At this point no water leakage.
