My 1995 900S has a sight glass, which can give some indication as to the state of charge. It's mounted on top of the receiver/dryer, in front of the radiator. You should be able to remove the front grill by squeezing the two metal spring tabs on each end as you lift the grill up. If you have the sight glass on your car, with the engine idling and the A/C on max., a properly charged system will show just a few bubbles as the fan switches on and off. An undercharged system will show excessive bubbles that may not go away as long as the compressor is running. An overcharged system will have no bubbles. Of course, an empty system will also have no bubbles, although in that case, the compressor would not come on at all. How much of one can did you add? It sounds like you only lost the equivalent of a small portion of one can.
