Wood dash panel falling apart - 00 9-3

It started cracking by the headlight switch, now a couple of bigger pieces have come off, the rest of it is attached securely. I bought a replacement panel (Genuine Saab part) from State of Nines for 99.00.
What is the best way to get the rest of this off and to clean the residue off? Do I need some accelerator or other goo to use in prepping for application of the new stick on panel? Do I need to remove SID, switches, radio or steering wheel?
Thanks in advance.
