It's a little bit of a challenge to remove the clutch alone and it takes some special tools, snap ring pliers and pullers and you still need to loosen the compressor from the engine to make room to work.
If you do it on the bench, than you have to empty the system and if so, it might be easier to replace the whole compressor but then you are also dealing with A/C recovery and recharge and has to be familiar with that.
As long as it is a brand new compressor and right fit, Sanden is good.
If it is a rebuilt one, it is only as good as the rebuilder is.
