I've done this a few times because I have sylvania silverstar bulbs. Great color and brightness but oem last longer.
It's not that hard. If you can't raise the car, use a jack and lift the side you need to replace. Underneath, below the middle of the grill, there is one screw that connects the front skirts. Unscrew it. They are 2 pieces, the left and the right. What ever side bulb needs replacing, remove corresponding skirt. A little cajoling, you should just be able to pull it out enough to expose the housing. You will see that the skirt is held in place by tabs and no other screws. Once you see housing, unscrew the one screw to open from bottom and replace bulb.
The hardest part is getting the tabs to snap back in place for a snug fit.
You should be able to replace the bulb by only removing 2 screws.
By the way, I have 97 900s 110,000 mi.
Good luck. Glenn.
